1/2 Marathon training run

Training for Run4Jess hit a new high as as my 92 minute training run covered 21.1k which is 1/2 Marathon distance.

The plan was just to run easy for 90 minutes to work on my endurance base, but at about 1/2 way I had travelled about 10.5 k and could not resist the urge to attempt to hold the same pace for the remaining 45 minutes. Definitely not textbook, long run training, but with the day being perfect and so many people getting involved in the Melanoma fundraising, it was hard not to push the pace along! I was also lathered in sunscreen which is normal, but I gave it a little extra thought heading out on a cool sunny late spring day.
